Stockton FFA Will Hold Annual Goblin’s Glory Halloween Extravaganza

10696220_746203708762278_5536569338873573554_nThe Stockton FFA will be holding their annual Goblin’s Glory Halloween extravaganza on October 22nd, in the Stockton High School gyms.

The events will start with a soup supper at 6pm, followed by the kids costume contest at 6:30, ages 6-under and 7-12.

Games and bingo will also begin at 6:30, and the merchandise auction will start at 7 pm.

The Goblin’s King and Queen crowning will begin at 8 pm.

The KCVA is a State of Kansas Agency who assists veterans and eligible family members obtain their VA benefits as allowed by law. There is no cost for our services.

Bob Boyd of Hill City to be honored August 6 at NBC’s World Series

Bob Boyd, 80 , of  Hill City, Kan has been selected by Area Agencies on Aging in Kansas to be honored as Keeping Seniors in the Game!SM first pitcher on Thursday August 6th, 2015 at the 7 p.m. feature game of the National Baseball Congress (NBC) World Series.
The 81st NBC World Series happens at Wichita’s Lawrence-Dumont Stadium Games begin Friday, July 24 and go until Saturday, August 8.
Boyd is one of 16 Kansans over age 80 throughout the state selected for the honor. The Keeping Seniors In the GameSM  initiative recognizes the vitality and contributions of older Kansans and raises  awareness of Area Agencies on Aging– a national network of groups that provide unbiased answers and real help to seniors and family caregivers with the goal of helping seniors stay happy and independent in their home communities.
Boyd and his wife, Diane have been married for 45 years.  They have four daughters–Valerie, Susie, Robyn, and Kristen and 15 grandchildren.
